Whirlpool Dryer Idler Pulley
Genuine Replacement Whirlpool / Kenmore dryer idler pulley. This is the idler pulley only, this dryer idler pulley includes a flat washer and a plastic tri-ring. This dryer idler pulley wheel will fit many Whirlpool, Kenmore, Roper, KitchenAid, Maytag and other brand name dryers. This idler pulley can be purchased on its own, or in the Idler pulley assembly which would include the shaft and l shaped bracket which we also carry. Part Number 279640 replaces 279640VP, 3388672, 697692, W10468057.
This idler pulley uses an oil impregnated bushing, which means it will create its own lubrication as it spins, if this wheel is squeaking you need to replace the pulley, adding lubrication to it will only attract lint and make the problem worse.
