KitchenAid 5 & 6 Qt Professional Mixer Speed Control Black Knob

This is a genuine KitchenAid replacement Speed Control Board with a Black Knob, This speed control is used in many of KitchenAid’s 5 Quart Professional and 6 Quart Mixers. The speed control handles the on/off and variable speed operations inside a KitchenAid stand mixer.

This speed control has 4 wires and a ribbon wire that attach to the speed control, this speed control does not have a switch, and is known by KitchenAid’s part number 9706648, but may have the number 9707220 stamped on the board itself. The knob on this speed control is black, and will replace the Part Numbers WP9706648 replaces  9703312,  9706052,  9706648,  9707511,  W10815809,  WP9703312 speed controls previously made by KitchenAid.


If your mixer over heats and will not turn back on, you may need to replace the speed control, as well as if the switch, which is actually mounted on the control board, is malfunctioning, you may need to replace the speed control. You will also need to replace the board if your mixer is only running on high speed and shuts off on its own the ribbon wire/mixer sensor has malfuntioned and now only comes with the speed control board. If you need the little knob attached to the speed control lever, the only way to replace it will be to replace the whole speed control.
