This is a genuine DeWalt 18V Cordless Drill replacement housing. This clamshell housing, 642887-03 is an original DeWalt part made by DeWalt. This clamshell housing is constructed of heavy nylon, and is a pistol grip style housing, commonly referred to as a clam shell. Replacing the housing can improve battery fit and drill operation, but is most commonly replaced because of physical damage to the housing such as cracks or other exterior damage. This clam shell housing includes both halves of the housing, but does not include hardware/screws or the bit holder common on these drills.
